Tottenham Hotspur were close to a perfect first leg performance at home to Bodo/Glimt but a later goal leaves the door open for the Norwegian side.
Ange Postecoglou dominate for most of the game at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and took the lead with just 37 seconds gone in the game when Brennan Johnson headed in from close range following a cross from the right that the Bodo/Glimt defence didn't deal with.
The second goal came from a ball over the top from Pedro Porro that James Maddison brought down before finishing past Nikita Haikin.
The third goal came with just over an hour gone when Spurs were awarded a penalty following a VAR review after Fredrik Sjovold was penalised for brining Cristián Romero down.
Dominic Solanke took the resulting spot-kick and waiting for the goalkeeper to commit before casually finding the corner.
From that point on, it seemed like Spurs had their place at the final in Bilbao sorted but Bodo/Glimt earned a late lifeline when Ulrik Saltnes converting following a neat move.
While Spurs will still be heavy favourites, Bodo/Glimt's excellent home form mean that the second leg could potentially be a nervy encounter.
