Igor Tudor took charge of his first training session on Monday and held a motivational speech to boost the players’ sense of belonging.

The Croatian tactician worked with a reduced squad on Monday as many Juventus players are still on international duty and will return to Turin this week.

Tudor, a former Juventus defender and Andrea Pirlo’s assistant coach in 2020-21, knows the club and its identity inside out, so he tried to pass on his mentality to the team.

The training session began with a motivational speech. Director Cristiano Giuntoli was also present at Continassa.

“We are Juventus, let’s prove on the pitch that we are worthy of this shirt,” Tudor told the team on Monday, according to Gazzetta.

The pink paper says that Tudor insisted on the sense of belonging and the Bianconeri DNA.

Juventus showed a lack of reaction in the latest two defeats against Atalanta and Fiorentina, and Tudor tried to instil his desire and enthusiasm in the team.

The new Bianconeri coach also worked on a series of tactical exercises.

Furthermore, he will start one-on-one meetings with the players in the coming days, as an open dialogue will be fundamental to being in sync with the team right away.

Tudor will make his debut on the Juventus bench on Saturday in a home Serie A match against Genoa.
