His appearances have been limited to cup competitions as he has been unable to displace Andre Onana despite the Cameroonian’s error-prone ways between the sticks.

Bayindir has yet to get a taste of Premier League football since arriving at Old Trafford. He has played six games this season across the Europa League, FA Cup and Carabao Cup.

Ahead of the 2026 World Cup, it was suggested that Bayindir could look to leave United in search of regular first-team minutes elsewhere.

A return to Turkey has been mooted, with Galatasaray believed to be interested in him. However, it was stated that the 26-year-old is keen on staying at United and fighting for a starting berth.

Now, Stretty News reveal that the Red Devils are willing to sanction his sale for a fee in the region of £6-7 million.

It’s understood that Bayindir is not short of suitors. In addition to Premier League clubs, he also has admirers in La Liga and Serie A.

Stretty News add, “Bayindir’s lack of playing time did little to repel these suitors, as they still believe he has what it takes to replicate the superb displays he produced during his years at Fenerbahce, something he didn’t have the chance to do at Man Utd.”

“As for the Red Devils, our sources can confirm that INEOS have pinpointed Burnley’s James Trafford as the ideal profile to replace Bayindir.”

Last month, a report covered by The Peoples Person relayed that United held talks about signing Trafford, who is on the brink of promotion to the Premier League with Burnley.

United are back in action on Thursday when they go away to Lyon in the first leg of their Europa League quarter-final tie. will certainly be hoping to be handed a start by Ruben Amorim as he looks to prove he has what it takes to become the club’s first-choice goalkeeper.
