Carlo Ancelotti will go down as the most successful manager in the history of Real Madrid, having led the club to 15 titles across his two tenures.
However, his time at the Santiago Bernabeu seems to be coming to an end following the Merengues’ Copa del Rey defeat to FC Barcelona last night.
In fact, as per updates from journalists Matteo Moretto and Alfredo Matilla, if nothing changes, Carlo Ancelotti is increasingly close to becoming the new coach of Brazil.
Diego Fernandes, the CBF emissary who has acted as an intermediary in their pursuit of Ancelotti for months, is in Seville to meet with the Real Madrid coach again and attempt to conclude the deal, with two possible start dates: May or after 30 June.

Last week, Fernandes attended the Champions League match between Real Madrid and Arsenal at the Santiago Bernabeu and had lunch with Ancelotti the following day.
According to sources close to the negotiations, they are expected to meet again in the coming hours to conclude discussions. Although the agreement is complete, and Brazil have offered a contract similar to Ancelotti’s current one at Real Madrid, nothing has yet been signed.
Neither Ancelotti nor Fernandes wish to make any premature moves out of respect for Real Madrid, who have been kept informed throughout the process due to the strong relationship between the manager, Florentino Perez, and Jose Angel Sanchez.
One of Fernandes’s objectives in travelling to Seville is to convince Ancelotti to join Brazil as soon as possible. The CBF’s next squad announcement is scheduled for May, and they hope it will already bear Ancelotti’s influence.
In fact, Sky Sports confirms that the Italian is very close to becoming the Brazil boss and could leave Real Madrid as early as next week.
If Ancelotti accepts the proposal, he would have to terminate his contract with Real Madrid in May, despite having one year left, and would have to forgo participating in the Club World Cup.
