In a recent report, journalist Graeme Bailey claimed that Arsenal are eyeing a move for Red Bull Leipzig forward Benjamin Sesko. It has been mentioned that the Gunners are considering the Slovenian striker as a target for the summer transfer window.
Sesko is having a great campaign at the German club as he has been responsible for putting in a series of productive displays for them in the final third. The Slovenia international has participated in 42 matches for RB Leipzig this season, scoring 20 times and securing six assists across all fronts.
The 21-year-old has been a reliable performer up top based on his average of 2.2 shots, 0.6 key passes and 1.3 dribbles per game in the Bundesliga. However, he needs to find a way to improve his link-up play on the offensive end of the field, as evidenced by his pass completion rate of 67.6% in the German top tier (stats via whoscored).
His current contract at the German club will expire in the summer of 2029. Thus, it won’t be easy for the Gunners to sign Sesko on the cheap this off-season.

Sesko is proficient at creating a yard of space for himself to get a few strikes in at goal. He has proven himself to be a capable finisher in the final third and has got the eye to create the odd chance for his teammates up top.
The Slovenian sensation is also quite clever with his movements in and around the opposition penalty box. However, he has to find a way to improve his passing accuracy if he wants to taste success at the highest level.
Sesko would add more firepower to Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta‘s frontline. He is more than capable of nailing down a regular first-team spot at the Emirates Stadium next season.
At 21, Sesko has the potential to be a world-class player someday. Hence, he would be an excellent option for the Gunners to consider in the long run. However, Sesko might need some time to adapt to life in the Premier League if Arsenal decide to bring him to the English capital this summer.
