Robert Lewandowski continues to build his legacy at FC Barcelona. The Polish centre-forward, now 36 years old, is on the brink of two significant milestones, heading into the game against Celta Vigo later today.

Signed from Bayern Munich in 2022, the veteran superstar has been a huge success at Barça. Even though he saw a bit of a dip in form last season, the striker has been back at his best in the ongoing campaign under Hansi Flick.

Now, he is on the cusp of achieving two major landmarks in his career with the Blaugrana.

A century of appearances and a century of goals

If Lewandowski features against Celta Vigo on Saturday, he will reach 100 La Liga appearances in a Barcelona shirt. Should he score, he will also celebrate his 100th goal overall for the club.

Lewandowski has played 99 matches for Barça in La Liga, scoring 67 goals (seven from the penalty spot). His record in those games includes 69 wins, 14 draws, and 19 losses.

Out of those 99 league appearances, the 36-year-old started 93, completed 62, and has accumulated 7,985 minutes on the pitch.

Meanwhile, of the 99 goals he has scored for Barcelona across all competitions, 67 have come in La Liga, 19 in the Champions League, seven in the Copa del Rey, five in the Spanish Super Cup, and one in the Europa League.

This season is already his most prolific at the Blaugrana with 40 goals across all competitions, compared to 26 last season and 33 in his debut campaign.

Heading into Matchday 32 in La Liga, Lewandowski is leading the scoring charts with 25 goals, three ahead of his closest rival, Kylian Mbappe, and looks locked in for another Pichichi Trophy triumph.

Given his prolific form this season, Barcelona have already secured his future for one more campaign until 2026 and have postponed the signing of a new centre-forward until next year.
