Barcelona welcome Inter Milan to the Lluis Companys Olympic Stadium tonight in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final tie.
Hansi Flick’s team are in pursuit of a treble and a first appearance in the Champions League final for a decade. The Catalans sealed the first leg of their treble pursuit at the weekend, after beating Real Madrid in the Copa del Rey final. Ferran Torres’ 84th-minute equaliser forced extra time before Jules Kounde fired in the winner.
Inter Milan’s own treble chase has unravelled in recent weeks. The Nerazzurri have lost three consecutive games in all competitions, exiting the Coppa Italia and falling three points behind Napoli in the Serie A title race.
The Spaniard remain without Robert Lewandowski with a hamstring injury having sidelined the club’s leading scorer. Lewandowski is a doubt to return in time for next week’s second leg, so Ferran Torres should continue to deputise.
Alejandro Balde could make his return from injury. The left-back will replace Gerard Martin if passed fit to feature. Marc-Andre ter Stegen is back in contention but Hansi Flick has confirmed that Wojciech Szczesny will continue in goal. Marc Casado and Marc Bernal remain out with knee injuries.
Barcelona predicted XI: Szczesny; Kounde, Cubarsi, Martinez, Martin; De Jong, Pedri; Yamal, Olmo, Raphinha; Torres
