WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Seagulls this afternoon.
The 18-year-old is a product of the Brighton & Hove Albion academy system. She has been in and around the senior squad for the last 18 months but is awaiting her first team debut. She has been named amongst the substitutes on seven occasions.
On the international stage, Pegram has represented England up to and including Under-19 level.
The youngster is an exciting prospect and Brighton & Hove Albion are pleased to have retained her services on a professional basis.
After Pegram signed her first professional terms, the club’s women’s and girls’ academy manager, Perry Northeast said “Jess is a gifted defender with a lot of potential to progress in the women’s game, and we’re really excited to support her on the next stage of that journey.
“She’s been given the opportunity to train and travel with the women’s first team this season, providing her with valuable experience in a senior environment while learning from talented players.
“She’s progressed well in her three seasons and we’re excited to see her continue her development.”
Pegram is now expected to continue her development with both the Brighton & Hove Albion Professional Game Academy League squad and the first team.
