Bild reports that Everton and Brighton are also interested in VfB Stuttgart striker Nick Woltemade, who is a hot topic at the moment.
Earlier in the week, it was reported that Bayern Munich are interested in the 23-year-old, who is having his breakout season at the MHP Arena. However, now Everton and Brighton are also showing an interest in Woltemade, with Brighton the most interested.
Brighton were recently active in the German transfer market, as in the winter they signed striker Stefan Tzimas from Nürnberg. With rumours swirling about a possible departure of João Pedro, Woltemade would be a sensible replacement in terms of positions the former Werder Bremen academy product is comfortable in, but profile-wise, they are completely different.
If Stuttgart were open to selling the striker, they would demand around €40m. But, Woltemade is currently not considering a move and is focused on his time at Stuttgart.
Woltemade is currently one of the most interesting and unique players in the Bundesliga due to his height and superb technical ability. In 24 games, he has nine goals and two assists, and had a standout performance in Stuttgart’s 4-3 loss to Bayer Leverkusen just before the international break.
