Barcelona midfielder Fermin Lopez continues to enjoy a breakout season, and his connection with the club runs deep.

The young talent recently looked back on his journey so far, proudly calling his goal against Real Madrid in the pre-season as the most special of his career.

“The best goal of my career is the one I scored against Real Madrid in Dallas,” Fermin said, recalling that magical night during the summer tour in the United States.

“The game I enjoyed the most was my first Clasico in the US,” he added.

Growing up, his love for Barcelona was shaped by the legends of the game. “Iniesta and Messi were my idols,” he said.

Like many young La Masia graduates, Fermin was inspired by their brilliance and now finds himself proudly wearing the same shirt they once did.

“Playing for Barça has been my dream since I was little. I’m at the best club in the world,” he reflected.

As Barcelona prepare for their Champions League semi-final against Inter Milan, Fermin is feeling both proud and hungry for more.

“I’m very happy, now I’m going for more,” he said. There is a sense of excitement within the squad, and the midfielder made it clear that the entire team is motivated for the challenge ahead.

“We are all very excited and looking forward to the semifinals, although it’s going to be a very difficult match,” he added.

Fermin also looked back fondly on his days at La Masia, especially one unforgettable moment.

His favourite memory? Watching Barcelona’s famous comeback against PSG live with his teammates.

It was a night that fuelled his dream to one day make history with the club—and now, he is on the path to doing just that.
