The second legs of the 2024-25 Coppa Italia semi-finals could also be postponed following the death of Pope Francis on Easter Monday.
The Pope died in Vatican City at the age of 88 on Easter Monday.
As a result, all Serie A, Serie B, Serie C, Serie D and Primavera fixtures that were originally scheduled to take place on Monday have been officially postponed until further notice. The games on the Serie A schedule included Torino-Udinese, Cagliari-Fiorentina, Genoa-Lazio and Parma-Juventus.
It remains to be seen when those matches will be carried out. They will have to be played before the final weekend of the season, which is currently due to take place on May 25.

In addition to the postponed league fixtures, there is a possibility that the remaining Coppa Italia semi-finals – Inter-Milan and Bologna-Empoli could also be rearranged. Again, it remains to be seen and depends on the decision made by the competition’s organisers.
Inter and Milan are currently level at 1-1 after the first leg of the semi-final and are currently due to play the reverse fixture on Wednesday. Bologna have a 3-0 lead over Empoli and are scheduled to play the second leg at the Dall’Ara on Thursday.
