Serie A giants Inter Milan have this week been afforded a timely pair of boosts on the personnel front.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who have provided an insight into the latest developments behind the scenes in Simone Inzaghi’s squad.

Inter Milan, for those not aware, are in the midst of a week to forget.

First, the Nerazzurri saw their Scudetto title hopes dealt a blow by way of defeat at the hands of Bologna, before they were sent packing from the Coppa Italia at the semi-final stage by arch rivals AC Milan.

In the thick of ongoing preparations for a Champions League semi-final showdown with La Liga leaders Barcelona next week, such setbacks could not have come at a much worse time.

Safe to say, then, that all of an Inter persuasion will no doubt be delighted to hear of the latest word stemming from Simone Inzaghi’s camp.

As per MD, following respective recent spells on the sidelines:

‘Denzel Dumfries and Piotr Zielinski trained with the squad on Friday.’ Both players, as a result, are expected to be called up to face AS Roma this weekend.

Marcus Thuram, on the other hand, is yet to rejoin group activities in Milan.
