What seemed like a fantasy at the start of the season could soon become Inter’s reality.

Indeed, Simone Inzaghi has kept his star-studded team in contention for all three major trophies.

Furthermore, the reigning Scudetto holders will feature in the FIFA Club World Cup in June.

However, Inter must take one step at a time.

Tonight’s clash against Bayern Munich is crucial for maintaining a Champions League dream alive.

“Many are used to living in this atmosphere and playing games like these,” Marotta stated.

“Bayern is a team made up of champions, and we know we can’t underestimate them.

“We have to play as if the score is 0-0.

“The contribution of our fans will be a great help for what could be an extraordinary goal that we all want to achieve.”

Then, Beppe Marotta hailed Inter’s compactness under Inzaghi.

“It has been one of our strengths.

“But today, all teams play to score goals, this characteristic has replaced a more conservative style of football.

“We hope this will be a great evening.”

Marotta outlined Inter’s plans for the future.

“We have a plan regardless of how the season ends, which we want to finish in the best possible way,” he said.

“But it already represents a satisfying goal and has given us a certain economic stability.

“In the future, we will be able to make targeted investments with predefined goals, focusing on talented players.

“We seek a core group of Italians, rejuvenating the squad, and mixing younger and more experienced players.”

Asked why Italians, Marotta replied: “One of the goals is the Italian championship, and often you find yourself playing in unfamiliar stadiums.

“Foreign players are often not used to dealing with certain pressures, whereas an Italian player can make this aspect easier.”

Finally, he explained Inter’s decision to focus on young talents.

“From abroad, they buy players who are 19 or 20 years old. The career of players at an older age tends to be shorter.

“The characteristic is: young and motivated players.

“Because today, football is a drain on energy, something that wasn’t the case a few years ago.”
