Jamie Vardy is still Leicester City's most honest, influential and well-loved player. Although City are now in a darker period, he's won the Premier League title, FA Cup and Community Shield whilst a fixture on Filbert Way. In addition to those factors, the famed striker also played for his country, England. Furthermore, he notably appeared in every single European competition available while a Fox. Vardy is truly a marvel; many of us supporters are not quite ready for the No.9 to leave LCFC just yet.
However, due to his age (Vardy is 39 in January 2026) and Leicester's plight, chatter concerning his potential next step has rapidly increased. There has been much talk of the former Fleetwood Town man joining another team. Suitors do apparently exist in the Premier League, though he is unlikely to join one of the Foxes' rivals for example. Outfits abroad are also said to be understandably interested in the illustrious attacker who can still produce on his day.
Although, Vardy has reportedly directly as well as indirectly ruled out the possibility of a transfer to two ostensibly interested clubs. Meanwhile the centre forward is understood to be uninterested in joining a team that would face the Foxes next season. That update technically rules out a switch to any Championship side. A note that will disappoint the Welsh and their contemporary and unlikely Hollywood connections. So what's going on with Mr Vardy, the most famous Fox?
Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney will be disappointing if they realistically want Vardy at Wrexham. The latter previously stated that he won't compete against City. Gary Neville's advice to the veteran footballer was, incidentally, to remain with LCFC.
