Juventus have emerged as potential suitors for unsettled Bayern Munich center-back Kim Min-jae amid reports he could leave the club. Per several reports in Italy, the runaway Bundesliga leaders are open to selling the former Napoli ace in the coming months.

Kim already made waves in Serie A, excelling in his first and only season at Napoli to help the club win their first Scudetto in over 30 years in 2022/23. However, Kalidou Koulibaly’s heir left Stadio Diego Armando Maradona after just one year to join the Bavarians in a mega-money deal.

Indeed, Bayern paid Napoli an eye-watering €50 million to sign the South Korean star in the summer of 2023. Yet, Kim has failed to find his footing in Germany. Despite being a first-team regular for Vincent Kompany this season, Kim could leave the Allianz Arena, with Juventus keen to bring him back to Serie A.

Widely considered among the main culprits for Bayern Munich’s defeat to Inter in their Champions League quarter-final tie, Kim may pack his bags at the end of the season. Following the alleged interest from the Nerazzurri, Juventus have joined the race as they seek defensive reinforcements amid a long-term injury crisis.

Indeed, Juventus lost Gleison Bremer and Juan Cabal to season-ending injuries midway through the campaign. Lloyd Kelly’s arrival from the Premier League in the winter failed to provide the insurance, forcing the record-time Italian champions to scour the market for further additions.

Whether Kim would be a good choice for Juventus remains questionable, considering his notorious form wobble in Munich.
