Juventus are gearing up for a less busy summer compared to the last one, but plot to bring in a pair of select reinforcements, and they consider Sandro Tonali perfect for any coach or scheme. The pursuit is challenging, but it is ongoing, and they won’t give up easily, La Gazzetta dello Sport informs.
The Bianconeri plan to spend big for a central midfielder and a striker. The only real alternative to the Newcastle United star is Ederson. They are on better terms with the Premier League outfit than with Atalanta after the Teun Koopmeiners deal. The addition of Lloyd Kelly has drawn a lot of scrutiny for his price tag and so-so performances. However, it has established a connection between the two sides. The Old Lady will try to exploit it to land their priority target.
Juventus would have to make a splash for Tonali, as his price tag is €60/70M. Their main idea is to insert Douglas Luiz in the package, reducing the monetary portion of the offer to €20/30M. The Brazilian midfielder has struggled to adapt to Serie A due to multiple injuries and because he didn’t click with Thiago Motta.
The counterparty could also be interested in Federico Gatti and Dusan Vlahovic. The Azzurri staple moved from Milan to the Magpies for nearly €60M in July 2023.
It’s never wrong to dream big, but it’d be surprising if Newcastle United let him go so soon and not for an insane offer. He’d have to ask out and push to head back to Italy. He seemed perfectly fine where he is in his recent remarks.
