Here are the player ratings for the Barcelona players.

Player Ratings:

Wojciech Szczesny: 8.0

Did not have much to worry about in the first half, as Real Madrid’s advances were mostly ruled offside thanks to his defenders. As the game went on, however, the Polish goalkeeper was called into action a lot more and had to make the necessary saves.

Jules Kounde: 9.0

Cool and collected on the right flank, he had a solid outing in the first half against Real Madrid’s forwards. His second half was good as well, as the Frenchman did his duties well and distributed the ball effectively as well. Ended up scoring a crazy game-winning goal as well.

Pau Cubarsi: 8.5

Incredibly comfortable on the ball no matter how much pressure Real Madrid tried to pile up on him, and he did his defensive duties diligently. Made a crucial interception that led to Barça scoring their first goal.

Inigo Martinez: 7.0

Strong with his challenges and good in terms of his duels, but he almost gave away a penalty in the first half. Did well to recover afterwards, and made some decent tackles and challenges as well.

Gerard Martin: 3.0

Atrocious performance from a player who not just struggled himself, but also put others in a bad spot as well. Some of his passes were simply horrendous, and ended up being awkward for his teammates to control.

Frenkie de Jong: 7.5

Did well alongside Pedri to initially sustain and override the pressure that came from Real Madrid, but began to struggle a bit as the game went on. A decent performance overall, however.

Pedri: 8.5

A brilliant performance from the Spaniard started off with a top-class finish into the top corner of the Real Madrid goal. He controlled the game well and was often times one of the primary sources of creativity for the team.

Lamine Yamal: 8.5

What a player, and he surely showed up for yet another big occasion against Real Madrid. Delivered two crucial assists, and also constantly worried the opposition defenders with his dribbling quality. Both of the assists came through different angles, but they were equally important.

Dani Olmo: 7.0

Initially did well to exploit the spaces that he found, but he slowly faded into just being a player being exploited by the opposition with constant fouls. Began to struggle in the second half, and was soon replaced by Fermin Lopez, meaning Hansi Flick ultimately used both players that gave him a selection headache before the game.

Raphinha: 2.0

Rather frustrating in the first half, the Brazilian forward kept passing and shooting for no reason at times. Wasted some good opportunities, and was overly eager on other instances. Quite the poor performance.

Ferran Torres: 8.0

Made some good runs, but was contained rather easily by the Real Madrid defenders. Did open up space for others, but they rarely did anything positive with it. However, he scored a crucial goal in the second half that levelled up the game for Barcelona.

Substitutes:

Fermin Lopez: 7.0

Added some energy into a team that was clearly struggling to match Real Madrid’s intensity. Solid outing for the Spanish midfielder.

Ronald Araujo: 7.0

Did well to contain his man, and he limited Real Madrid’s offensive actions rather positively. Replaced Gerard Martin as well, and that was certainly a positive in this game.

Gavi: 7.5

What a late and impactful entry from Gavi. His intensity completely turned the tides of the game, and Barcelona looked much better with him on the field.

Pau Victor: N/A
