Sheffield United the unlucky team now guaranteed third, a country mile ahead of the rest, the Blades now big favourites to go up through the play-offs and join Leeds United and Burnley.

A massive challenge for all of the Championship teams that will be promoted, as it has proved to be this season, with Ipswich, Leicester and Southampton on their way back down after only one season in the top tier.

Whatever the future holds, Leeds United determined to enjoy the moment, with Newcastle United providing the blueprint, the inspiration.

Whether they finish champions or runners-up of the second tier, Leeds United are going to have a celebration open top bus parade after getting promotion.

James Lewis is Leeds City Council leader has said that the parade will celebrate two promotions, as Covid restrictions prevented one in 2020 when Leeds United last went up.

The Leeds Council Leader namechecking Newcastle United as a big inspiration and blueprint for what the plan is for Leeds United and their celebrations, speaking to Leeds Live:

“We are keen to do something whether we are champions or second because we didn’t do it in 2020.

“Look how many people turned out to see Newcastle United winning the Carabao Cup.

“So I’m not underestimating what a big event it’ll be.

“It’ll be the opportunity to celebrate two promotions. I think it’ll really be big, people didn’t have the chance to celebrate in 2020. I think it’s such a big thing for the city. I think a well-organised parade will get a huge crowd out.

“Like I say, people saw the pictures for Newcastle United a couple of weeks ago with the League Cup and I think it shows when there’s somewhere to celebrate, fans want to come out and celebrate together.

“Part of the work on developing an event is how can the maximum number of people come out and enjoy it and enjoy it safely.

“I’ve no doubt it will be a huge crowd.

“The scenes [at Elland Road on Monday] were amazing, and that’s why I think when we have a bus parade there will be hundreds of thousands there.”

Good luck to Leeds United, well, at least with their celebrations!

There is far too much negativity and ridiculous trolling from so many journalists and alleged football fans, when it comes to fans of other clubs celebrating ‘too much’ when they achieve something.

Leeds United and their fans have worked for this all season, why not have a special day to celebrate it?
