The Manchester United scout likely left San Siro on Sunday night pleased with what he had seen during Atalanta’s 1-0 victory over Milan, even more convinced to intensify their pursuit of two of La Dea’s stars, whom they have been monitoring in recent months.

It was no secret that the Red Devils had set their sights on midfielder Ederson as a potential reinforcement for next season, and their interest in the 25-year-old was reaffirmed during the latest Serie A matchweek, a night that saw him once again shine and secure all three points for his side.

Man United scout watches Ederson and Retegui shine for Atalanta in Serie A victory over Milan

According to transfer expert Nicolò Schira, the Premier League giants sent a scout to San Siro last Sunday with the task of delivering a report on Ederson as well as his teammate Mateo Retegui.

This move reportedly followed an approach Manchester United had already made in recent weeks, engaging with the players’ agents to discuss a potential move to Old Trafford next summer.

Ederson scored his fourth Serie A goal of the season against Milan, while Retegui currently leads the league’s scoring chart with 23 goals in 31 appearances.
