Paris Saint-Germain are closely watching Hugo Ekitike’s potential move to Eintracht Frankfurt, as they stand to receive a percentage of the transfer fee.

Newcastle have considered Ekitike as a potential replacement for Alexander Isak, with the club previously showing interest during his time at PSG, per CaughtOffside.

The Parisians have a 20 percent sell-on clause, so they could profit from any future transfer involving the 22-year-old striker. Along with Newcastle, another Premier League team is also interested in the talented forward.

In addition, Football Insider reported Thursday that Manchester United is competing with Newcastle and several top European clubs to sign Ekitike. United has been keeping a close eye on his performances for Eintracht Frankfurt this season as they aim to bring in a new No. 9 this summer.

GIVE ME SPORT reported on Friday, citing sources, that Manchester United are facing a significant hurdle in their pursuit of Hugo Ekitike.

The club won’t be able to meet Eintracht Frankfurt’s £67 million asking price and may have to explore alternative options when the transfer window reopens this summer.

Moreover, the report claims that while the Premier League side admire Ekitike, who has scored 19 goals across all competitions this season, they are hesitant to make him a priority target. The key concern is the difficulty of convincing Eintracht Frankfurt to lower its asking price.
