Napoli coach Antonio Conte says his team’s Serie A title rivals Inter Milan are “built to win everything, including the Champions League.”
The Partenopei coach engaged in some mind games in the press conference ahead of today’s Serie A clash with Empoli, as reported by FCInterNews.
Inter Milan and Napoli are locked in a fierce battle for the Serie A title.
Going into this weekend, just three points separated the two sides in first and second in the table.
Inter extended their lead at the summit to six points with a win over Cagliari on Saturday.
However, Napoli have the chance to cut the deficit back to just three points if they can beat Empoli this evening. Just a single result separating the two title rivals, therefore.
In many respects, Napoli have defied expectations to push Inter this far.
Going into the campaign, the Nerazzurri were the favourites. They had won the title last season, and done so in dominant fashion. And they kept the core of that team together.
Napoli, on the other hand, have had to recover from a disastrous tenth-place finish.

Partenopei coach Antonio Conte – formerly of Inter, Juventus, and Chelsea – has hardly been above playing a bit of mind games in this title race.
The coach commented that his team are in “a war of pressure with Inter.”
“We’re their direct rivals,” he continued. “We’re causing them problems, but to do something extraordinary we have to put them under a lot of pressure.”
“It means we’re doing very well,” Conte continued.
“We’re in a situation where we have to go beyond our own possibilities to keep up with a team who are showing in Europe as well that they’re built to win everything.”
“We’ve earned this pressure,” Conte went on. “This war of nerves.”
