Napoli move likely for Federico Chiesa if he leaves England | OneFootball

This summer might see a return of Federico Chiesa to Serie A. Last summer, Liverpool took a risk with him and signed him for €15m last summer. That being said, he has barely had any game time at all. In all competitions, he has only played 387 minutes, and scored two goals, including one in Liverpool’s FA Cup final loss.

Perhaps the most damning indictment of his condition at the club was during the club’s loss to PSG in the Champions League Round of 16, where manager Arne Slot decided to bring on a half-fit Cody Gakpo ahead of the Italian. All of this has opened the door for him to go back to Italy ahead of next season. Napoli, who could be the Scudetto holders by then are an interested party as per Daniele Longo (via calciomercato.com). Antonio Conte is said to be an admirer of the player and he also has a positive relationship with sporting director Giovanni Manna. Liverpool would reportedly also be open to loaning him out. That being said Napoli have to be careful considering the winger’s form and injury worries of late.
