Ordaz delivers LAFC victory in first leg against Inter Miami CF

LOS ANGELES – Los Angeles FC earned a 1-nil win against Inter Miami CF in the first leg of their quarterfinals series as the 2025 Concacaf Champions Cup continued Wednesday at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles, California, USA.
A highly contested first half presented few opportunities in attack as both teams were solid in defense.
Nathan Ordaz broke the deadlock in the 57’ for LAFC to pull ahead, finding the back of the net with a right footed hit from long distance to the right-hand bottom corner. Mark Delgado recorded the assist on the play.
Lionel Messi had a dangerous look in the 86’ as Inter Miami searched for the equalizer, but his left footed attempt from just outside the box was met by a save from LAFC goalkeeper Hugo Lloris.
Lloris concluded the match securing his third clean sheet this CCC campaign, having a solid performance in goal with three saves.
The teams will meet again next Wednesday in the second leg next Wednesday at Chase Stadium in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA. The winner on aggregate will advance to the semifinals.
