It is no secret that Real Madrid are closely monitoring the situation of Dean Huijsen, however, AS reports that the team is hoping that the young defender will openly express what many already know—his strong admiration for Los Blancos.
The Spanish giants see Huijsen as a perfect fit for their transfer strategy, which prioritises young talents with high potential, preferably those with experience at top clubs.
Huijsen ticks all the boxes, and a move this summer could be on the cards, with his price tag reportedly set at €50 million.
However, signing the promising centre-back will not be a straightforward task. Real Madrid face stiff competition from three Premier League heavyweights—Chelsea, Manchester United, and Liverpool.
The latter, in particular, are keeping a close eye on him as they prepare for life after Virgil van Dijk. With such strong interest from England, Madrid will have to act wisely if they are to secure his services.
Ideally, Real Madrid would not have minded if Huijsen remained at his current club for another year.

With David Alaba and Antonio Rudiger both in their thirties and under contract until next season, the club could have afforded to wait before making a move for a long-term defensive reinforcement.
However, the likelihood of Huijsen staying put appears slim. His Bournemouth teammate, Justin Kluivert, does not feel “Huijsen will be with us next season.”
Madrid are aware that signing Huijsen will not come cheap, but they hope that his admiration for the club could work in their favour.
They are in no rush to finalise a deal, knowing that the player has a strong personality and a clear sense of direction. His father, Donny Huijsen has played a crucial role in shaping his career.
The family’s deep connection to Spain only strengthens the belief that a move to La Liga could be a natural step for him.
Now, as the summer transfer window approaches, all eyes are on whether the young defender will make his admiration for Los Blancos public and take a step closer to the Santiago Bernabeu.
