The brass at La Liga giants Real Madrid have circled three names in red, amid their search for reinforcements at left-back with a view to next season.
That’s according to The Athletic pair Guillermo Rai and Mario Cortegana, who have provided an insight into the latest developments behind the scenes in Spain’s capital.
Real Madrid, it is understood, have identified the left-back spot in the club’s first-team squad as being in serious need of fresh blood this summer.
With Ferland Mendy and David Alaba both struggling to maintain fitness, and faith in Fran García not absolute, Los Blancos have begun scouring the market for potential additions for the 2025/26 campaign.
And amid this search, three names, as alluded to above, have been placed above all others.
As per The Athletic:
‘Real Madrid are looking at the left-back market with a view to potentially reinforcing the position, with Milos Kerkez (Bournemouth), Alvaro Carreras (Benfica) and Miguel Gutierrez (Girona, Real possess a buy-back clause) under consideration.’
