Evan N’Dicka has found a few suitors thanks to another strong campaign, as he’s one of the two Serie A players who have been on the pitch for every minute of every game; the other one is Lecce’s Federico Baschirotto. Moreover, he’s been booked just twice. Only a major offer and the defender’s manifest desire to leave would entice Roma to sell, Corriere dello Sport informs (via OneFootball).
The 25-year-old needed about a season to fully find his footing following a Bosman move from Eintracht Frankfurt. Then, he has become a complete certainty for all the various coaches and their different schemes, routinely locking down attackers on his side of the pitch.
His former team would gladly take N’Dicka back, and PSG and big Spanish and English outfits are keen as well. The center-back is happy where he is and would consider fleeing only for a clear improvement in terms of caliber and salary.
Even if the prospective buyers convinced him, they would then have to empty their coffers, as Roma want no less than €40M. The team believes he’ll continue growing and that his valuation will likely be even higher after the next World Cup, as he’s a linchpin for the Ivory Coast too.
Considering they’ll have to replace Mats Hummels, as Zeki Celik is fine, but it’ll be better to add another quality center-back so Gianluca Mancini can play as a braccetto, should they continue with a three-man line, it won’t be the right summer to cash in on him. It’d be nice if they held onto their transfer market hits for a few years.
