According to a report from Fichajes, it has come to light that Premier League side Manchester United are prepared to splash out a staggering €100 million to lure Federico Valverde away from Real Madrid.
Interestingly, while Manchester United’s eagerness to bolster their midfield is evident, convincing Real Madrid to part ways with one of their most reliable assets will be a daunting task.
Valverde has established himself as a mainstay in Carlo Ancelotti’s squad, admired for his versatility, physicality, and ability to contribute both offensively and defensively.
The 26-year-old has excelled in various roles, whether as a box-to-box midfielder, a right-winger, or even a deeper-lying playmaker. His work rate and tactical intelligence have made him indispensable at the Santiago Bernabeu.
This season alone, Valverde has made 46 appearances across all competitions, tallying eight goals and seven assists.

These numbers highlight his growing influence on the pitch, as he consistently proves himself to be a match-winner and a reliable option for Ancelotti in high-pressure situations.
For Manchester United, landing Valverde would be a major coup. The Old Trafford hierarchy reportedly views him as a crucial piece in their rebuilding project, someone capable of bringing leadership, creativity, and dynamism to their midfield.
At 26 years of age, Valverde is already playing at a world-class level, and his potential for further growth makes him a tantalising prospect for the Premier League side.
However, Real Madrid are not expected to make this transfer straightforward, as Valverde is under contract until 2029.
Moreover, Ancelotti is unlikely to endorse the sale of such a key player unless an astronomical offer comes through.
While Manchester United’s €100 million bid is substantial, it may still fall short of Madrid’s valuation for a player with such an important role in their current and future plans.
