The interest from Real Madrid in prominent footballers has been a recurring theme over the years, and their attention seems to be directed towards England this time.

Silva’s name appeared within the outlet soon after Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim shut the doors on Bruno Fernandes’ departure.

Bernardo Silva’s appeal and potential move

Silva is regarded as one of the most accomplished midfielders in European football. The 30-year-old has been a consistent performer for Manchester City, playing a crucial role in their domestic and European successes.

Now, there is a possibility that he may seek a new challenge. His contract with the English club runs until the summer of 2026, but reports suggest he could be available for a relatively modest fee this summer.

Given his age, the prospect of acquiring such a high-quality player at a reasonable price is something Real Madrid may find appealing.

Florentino Perez has a decision to make

The decision will ultimately rest with the club’s president, Florentino Perezm who will need to weigh the potential benefits of signing Silva against the financial implications.

Real Madrid are not willing to spend excessively on a player who, despite his proven quality, is approaching the latter stages of his career.

Nevertheless, if Real Madrid can negotiate a reasonable deal, securing the services of Silva could prove to be a smart move.

As the summer transfer window approaches, it remains to be seen whether Real Madrid will press ahead with their pursuit of Silva or explore other options.
