Football League World looks at the injury bulletin for tomorrow's encounter between Sheffield United and Cardiff City

The stakes are intensely high for both Sheffield United and Cardiff City ahead of the Good Friday showdown at Bramall Lane, which could prove to have a significant say on where both sides finish the 2024/25 Championship campaign .

Chris Wilder's side will be desperate to return to winning ways and terminate a three-match losing streak which has seen them lose serious ground in the hunt for automatic promotion, with defeats to Oxford United, Millwall and Plymouth Argyle demoting the Blades from top spot to third-place, five points behind Leeds and Burnley.

They will, however, fancy their chances back at home against a Cardiff side edging ever closer to relegation to League One for the first time since its inception. The Bluebirds, who won at Bramall Lane in the third-round of the FA Cup back in January, have endured an alarming slump in recent months and have claimed just one victory in their last eight matches, with Saturday afternoon's 1-0 home defeat to fellow strugglers Stoke City plunging them into the relegation zone with just four games to spare.

Both sides will intend on arresting poor runs of form in a clash which may just have such a big bearing on the outcomes of their respective seasons. With that in mind, Football League World takes a look at who will be unavailable for both the Blades and the Bluebirds on Friday.

Tom Davies

Midfielder Tom Davies is likely to be absent for the fixture.

The ex-Everton man has not featured since the 3-1 home defeat to Leeds back in February owing to a muscle injury. Wilder had expected Davies to feature in the matchday squad for last weekend's loss at Plymouth Argyle, but he didn't make the cut and is seemingly not in contention to return quite just yet.

Ollie Arblaster

Ollie Arblaster has not kicked a ball in anger in months after suffering a serious ACL injury during his side's 1-0 Steel City Derby victory over Sheffield Wednesday all the way back in November, and was ruled out for the rest of the season.

The 20-year-old made 12 appearances in the Championship for United this season before picking up the injury.

Rhys Norrington-Davies

Rhys Norrington-Davies has been another absentee from Wilder's squad in recent times. The Welsh international's most recent appearance came in the 2-1 win at Swansea City back in January and he has not made a matchday squad in more than two months with a calf injury.

He will not feature again this season.

Isaak Davies

Riza confirmed a fresh blow in the build-up to the clash, which Isaak Davies has now been ruled out of after sustaining yet another hamstring injury.

The Welsh attacker has made just nine appearances for Cardiff this term, scoring on two occasions, having suffered a serious hamstring injury in pre-season after enjoying a productive goalscoring campaign on loan in the Belgian top-flight with sister club KV Kortrijk.

Riza described the injury as "slight", but the Bluebirds are awaiting the results of a scan to determine whether Davies will feature again this season.

Perry Ng

Although Perry Ng has not yet been ruled out of the trip to South Yorkshire, his availability does appear in doubt.

The right-back has been an ever-present for much of the season and started last weekend's defeat to Stoke, but has only managed light sessions as he deals with an unspecified issue, and Riza has admitted he is "not sure" if Ng will be able to feature against the Blades.

Jak Alnwick

Jak Alnwick has been out of action since February after suffering a hamstring tear.

The goalkeeper was ruled out for the rest of the season and has been covered by Ethan Horvath ever since.

Aaron Ramsey

It has been yet another injury-plagued campaign for veteran midfielder Aaron Ramsey, who saw his season curtailed after suffering a second successive hamstring injury back in March, having not long made a comeback after spending months on the sidelines.

Ramsey has made just 10 appearances for Cardiff this season and his future is very much up in the air right now.

Joe Ralls

Another experienced veteran in the middle of the park to have endured injury struggles across the current term is club captain Joe Ralls.

The 31-year-old, who has spent his entire professional career with the Bluebirds, has only played 19 times in the Championship throughout 24/25.

Last month, Ralls was ruled out for the remainder of the season with a calf issue.
