Wolves striker Matheus Cunha is reportedly keen to join Manchester United next summer, as the two parties work on finalising their agreement.
The 25-year-old has been in sensational form this season, scoring 14 goals and providing four assists in 28 Premier League appearances.
Therefore, the Brazilian caught the attention of several suitors, but the Red Devils have been the quickest to react.
As confirmed by some of the most renowned sources in football journalism, the likes of Fabrizio Romano and David Ornstein, United have been making important strides in their attempts to land Cunha.

For his part, Sky Sport DE journalist Florian Plettenberg reveals that the Brazil international has been on Reds’ shortlist for a while, and he’s now ready to complete his transfer, as the two parties continue to sort out the details.
“Matheus Cunha had been on Manchester United’s list for a long time, but only a few weeks ago was he identified as a concrete transfer target,” posted the transfer market expert on his X account.
“Man United are determined to finalise the deal for the summer, though details still need to be clarified. The player is ready for the move.
“The 25-y/o Brazilian forward from Wolverhampton has a £62.5m release clause. He has scored 16 goals and provided 4 assists this season.”
United would be able to seal the player’s signature without having to negotiate a deal with Wolves, as they only have to trigger his release clause.
However, the club directors could be inclined to negotiate a transfer that would allow them to spread the payment on yearly instalments to decrease the financial burden, and perhaps even seek a discount.
