Good news for the Gunners
Arsenal would have been fearing the worst when seeing Bukayo Saka requiring treatment on a possible ankle injury during the win over Ipswich.
The winger was given his first Premier League start since returning was injury, and was instrumental in his side going two goals to the good before being sithed down during the 4-0 win. Saka carried on before being withdrawn early in the second half, but the initial prognosis is positive.
Elsewhere, there is good news on Riccardo Calafiori ahead of facing Paris Saint-Germain in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final, while Jorginho is also progressing well.
With that in mind, here’s a look at the latest Arsenal injury news.

There were big concerns on the Arsenal bench on Sunday when Leif Davis scraped his studs down the back of Bukayo Saka’s leg, leaving the Arsenal star in a heap requiring extensive on-pitch treatment and with the Ipswich left-back getting his marching orders.
He was able to carry on and, perhaps surprisingly, reappeared for the second half before being substituted before the hour mark. Saka was then spotted on the Arsenal bench with an ice pack strapped to his Achilles to prompt fears of a serious injury.
However, speaking after the game, Mikel Arteta allayed fears of a spell on the sidelines for Saka. He told reporters: "He was sore because of the tackle but it doesn't look anything serious."
Potential return date: Unknown
Jorginho remains a doubt to face PSG in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final.
The midfielder missed the wins over Real Madrid and Ipswich with a rib injury picked up during Arsenal’s draw against Brentford earlier in April.
“Jorgi is not going to be available yet, he is still struggling with that incident, “ Arteta told reporters before the win at Ipswich.
Asked if Jorginho could make the first leg against PSG, Arteta offered no assurances and said: “That’s probably a question for the doctor. It’s quite a specific and difficult matter, so I will leave that to the club to make an analysis.”

Riccardo Calafiori’s injury-hit first season as an Arsenal player has continued.
Riccardo Calafiori is “progressing really well” after suffering a knee injury while playing for Italy. The defender’s left knee appeared to buckle under him during Italy’s Nations League quarter-final defeat to Germany and he was released from their camp shortly after.
Arteta initially said the defender is facing “weeks” out and is upbeat over the player’s progress.
Calafiori is progressing well with his recovery and is set to make the Arsenal squad for the first leg of their semi-final clash with PSG on April 29.
“If everything goes well, I think so - maybe a little bit earlier,” said Arteta last week. “Let’s see. He is on the pitch already.
“He is doing quite a lot of stuff and we just need to make the right steps now to make sure when he is back, he is in a good place to perform.”
Potential return date: May 2025
Arsenal have confirmed Gabriel will miss the rest of the season after surgery on a hamstring injury sustained during their win over Fulham earlier in April.
An Arsenal statement read: “Further to being substituted during our match against Fulham on Tuesday, we can confirm that Gabriel Magalhaes has sustained a hamstring injury which requires surgery.
“Gabi will undergo a surgical repair procedure to his hamstring in the coming days, and immediately begin his recovery and rehabilitation programme, with the aim to be ready for the start of next season.”
Potential return date: Summer 2025
Injured: Arsenal star Kai Havertz

Kai Havertz was expected to be ruled out for the rest of the season, but there is now hope that he could get back on the pitch next month.
The German has been out with a hamstring injury since the start of February and had to undergo surgery, with the club confirming at the time that his recovery was “expected to extend into pre-season preparations for next season, but now Arteta has opened the door for possible minutes before the season ends.
“Let’s see,” he said. “Every injury isn’t the same. “The mindset of those two though is very similar. Great injury history, great work ethic, desperate to get back playing as quick as possible - and a great medical staff as well to look after them.
“So hopefully we can have him [before the end of the season], but let’s wait. Once you get to the last stage of that rehab, you can understand better how close or far you are to make that next step.”
Potential return date: Summer 2025
Takehiro Tomiyasu has mustered only six minutes this season, which came way back in October against Southampton.
Injury setbacks have derailed his progress all season and knee surgery in February has ruled him out for the rest of the campaign.
Later that month, the Japan international posted an Instagram message reading: “I’ve had a surgery on my knee few days ago and I’ve already started my rehab to do what I love the most again.
“It has been the toughest period in my career for sure and it carries on a bit more but I won’t give up. Thank you for your support and see you again.”
Potential return date: Summer 2025
Striker Gabriel Jesus is another to have struggled with injury problems throughout his time at Arsenal.
In January, Jesus suffered a serious knee injury and has since undergone surgery. Due to that, his exact return date remains unclear but he’s not expected back for many months.
