It has not been a pleasant day so far for the Barcelona offices after the club audits revealed that they atill have not hit sufficient financial stability to roll into the 1:1 bracket.
The sale of VIP seats from the new Spotify Camp Nou was expected to do the trick for the Catalans, but it now appears that it will not be enough as the auditor deemed the transaction to be futile without the seats physically existing yet.
The biggest blow, needless to say, comes for Dani Olmo and Pau Victor whose registrations are once again under threat.
Speaking to the media ahead of Barcelona’s clash against Atletico Madrid later today, club president Joan Laporta was asked about the latest developments in the Dani Olmo saga and the official statement from La Liga.
“Regarding the League’s statement, I would like to say that we see it as a further attempt to harm the interests of FC Barcelona and damage the club’s image,” he began, labelling it as an attack on the club.
He then went on to elaborate on how the club would do everything in their capacity to hit back at the league with everything they have got.
“It is self-evident that the club will respond once the legal department has thoroughly analyzed the League’s statement, and no one should doubt that we will respond in the strongest possible way, with everything necessary to defend the interests of FC Barcelona.”

The club president then went on to speak on the registration situation for Dani Olmo and Pau Victor and how he had already explained the details of the entire situation in detail in the past.
“Three months ago, I already said that the registrations of Olmo and Pau Victor were done correctly, we followed all the requirements imposed by the Federation and the League and this remains in force today.”
He also pointed out the league and administration for always timing the announcement of such news just before the team’s games, just as it happened before the Spanish Super Cup earlier this year the first time around.
“Sometimes I feel this is no coincidence. Today we’re playing a final here in Madrid, against Atletico Madrid, which I hope will be a great show of football, but arguments like this arise and controversies like this are revived.”
“I think this is no coincidence, but rather an attempt to destabilize our team,” he added.
Laporta also elaborated on his accusation of La Liga and called it out as an attempt to destabilize the best team in Spain.
“I also sometimes feel that all this is because, since they can’t beat us on the pitch, they’re trying to beat us in the offices. And as president of FC Barcelona, it goes without saying that I won’t allow that.”
“I will continue to defend the interests of FC Barcelona, also defending the interests of our partners, our fans, and our athletes,” he added.
