Barcelona secure €8 million transfer boost for the summer

La Liga giants Barcelona have been afforded a timely boost on the financial front.
That’s according to Diario Sport, who point towards as much as having come by way of Jean-Clair Todibo’s move to West Ham United being made permanent.
Defender Todibo linked up with West Ham last summer, on a season-long loan deal from Ligue 1 outfit OGC Nice.
The Frenchman has since gone on to endure something of a mixed time of things in England, featuring from the off in less than half of his new side’s Premier League fixtures.
But as much has not affected Todibo’s future in east London.
As per a report from Sport, West Ham have already activated their mandatory purchase option for the stopper with a view to the summer.
And as much spells altogether good news for the aforementioned Barcelona.
As part of the Blaugrana’s Todibo sale to Nice back in 2021, a 20% sell-on clause was secured.
With West Ham set to fork out a considerable €42 million for the 25-year-old, the Camp Nou brass are in turn preparing for a windfall in the region of €8.5 million.
