There has already been a lot of speculation about the kind of signings that Celtic will make in the upcoming summer transfer window. But on the other hand, it looks like there are plenty of players whose futures at Parkhead are in doubt as well. It is important that the Hoops keep their core together. That being said, the fans are no strangers to seeing their best leave if the right offer is on the table.
Celtic have had a few standout players this season. But one name that shined brighter than the rest in the first half of the season was that of Nicolas Kuhn.
Signed in the winter of 2024 from Rapid Vienna, Kuhn had not been impressive in the second half of the 23/24 season. As a result, his place in the team was not certain coming into this campaign.
But Kuhn exceeded all expectations and established himself as the team's talisman in the first half of this season, following the departure of Matt O'Riley in the summer. His goals came in the big moments as well, against teams like Bayern Munich, RB Leipzig and the Rangers in the final of the League Cup.
This kind of form has seen Kuhn being linked with teams from around Europe. It looks like Premier League clubs are keeping an eye on him.
As reported by TEAMtalk, Kuhn is one player who is wanted by a number of sides including Premier League club Brentford. The Bees have kept close tabs on his performances this season. He is also of major interest to clubs in the Bundesliga.
To be fair, Kuhn's form has not been as impressive since the turn of the year. But there is no doubt that he remains important to this team.
