La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Milan will be looking for more Italian players in the summer transfer window, with Federico Chiesa and Destiny Udogie among their targets.

The Rossoneri will rebuild their squad in the 2025-26 campaign, hiring a new sporting director and coach.

Fabio Paratici has emerged as the frontrunner for the sporting director role and is expected to be hired in the coming weeks, once all the legal paperwork is completed.

Paratici’s priority is to build a strong Italian core in the 2025-26 squad, starting with a new coach. Roberto De Zerbi, Antonio Conte and Massimiliano Allegri are currently the highest names on the Diavoli’s agenda.

The third step will be to sign more Italian players than in the last few seasons.

Chiesa, Riccardo Orsolini and Lorenzo Lucca are the players mentioned by Gazzetta for the Milan attack.

Chiesa has been struggling for playing time at Liverpool this term, and Milan had already sounded out the Italian winger before his move to Anfield last summer.

Roma’s Bryan Cristante and Lorenzo Pellegrini are potential targets in midfield, with Gazzetta claiming that one of them could be included in a player-plus-cash swap deal for Alexis Saelemaekers, who is already on loan in the capital.

Roma are determined to keep the Belgian at the Olimpico on a permanent deal and either Pellegrini or Cristante could be offered to the Rossoneri.

According to Gazzetta, Milan are also keeping a close eye on Davide Frattesi, who is expected to leave Inter in the summer to get more playing time elsewhere.

As for the defence, Tottenham’s Udogie is seen as an ideal replacement for the departing Theo Hernandez, while Hellas Verona’s Diego Coppola or Fiorentina’s Pietro Comuzzo could strengthen the Rossoneri’s backline next season.
