Diaz Gets 8.5, Jota With 7.5 | Liverpool Players Rated In Narrow Win Vs Everton

Liverpool welcomed Everton at Anfield earlier tonight as they looked to secure a victory in the Merseyside derby. The Reds made a slow start to the game and were held to a scoreless draw at the half-time break.
Diogo Jota finally broke the deadlock for Liverpool in the 57th minute with a good finish. Arne Slot’s men defended their slender advantage well and secured a narrow 1-0 win at Anfield.
Let’s take a look at how each Liverpool player fared during the match against Everton.
GK: Caoimhín Kelleher – 7/10
Kelleher was brave when coming out to collect loose balls but didn’t have a save to make in the derby.
RB: Curtis Jones – 7/10
He earned possession back once and was good on the ball.
CB: Ibrahima Konate – 7/10
Konate put his foot through the ball when required and did enough to keep a clean sheet tonight.
CB: Virgil Van Dijk – 7.5/10
He looked a bit shaky at times in the first half but produced a much-improved performance in the second.

LB: Andrew Robertson – 7/10
He worked his socks off at both ends of the field and was accurate with his ball distribution.
CM: Ryan Gravenberch – 7.5/10
Gravenberch provided solid protection for his teammates at the back and was not shy of having a strike at goal.
CM: Alexis Mac Allister – 6.5/10
He got stuck in with a few solid tackles and made one decent chance in the final third.
RW: Mohamed Salah – 6/10
Salah struggled to be a threat from the right flank and was replaced in the 92nd minute.
CAM: Dominik Szoboszlai – 6.5/10
He made one good chance in the opponent’s half but there was no goal for him.
LW: Luis Diaz – 8.5/10
Diaz caused all sorts of problems for his marker and ended the game with an assist to his name.
ST: Diogo Jota – 7.5/10
He was a real menace in the final third and scored the only goal of the game with a tidy finish in the 57th minute.
