Wrexham AFC won 3-0 against Charlton Athletic on Saturday, officially confirming their promotion from League One.
Birmingham City have already guaranteed top spot in the division, but Wrexham have now achieved a second-place finish and an automatic promotion place, given the five-point gap to third place with one game remaining.
Arthur Okonkwo has been a big part of that promotion push, with his clean sheet against Charlton just one of many this season.

In all, former Arsenal academy goalkeeper Okonkwo has kept 19 clean sheets in 36 games in all competitions in 2024/25. That figure likely would have been higher if not for a wrist fracture in November, ruling the player out for over a month.
Okonkwo took a few games to really hit form after his injury, dropping to the bench for a little while in February.
But the goalkeeper really bounced back after that, winning the Fans’ League One Player of the Month award for March with six clean sheets in seven games.

That was just the right time to hit form. Wrexham only pushed up into the automatic promotion places in April, after spending most of the early parts of 2025 in third or fourth.
Wrexham have one game remaining in May, away to Lincoln City, after which they can fully focus on preparing for life in the Championship.
