Even though the Coppa Italia final against Bologna isn’t for another two and a half weeks, Gazzetta dello Sport has already taken a look at the potential starting eleven for AC Milan.
Milan prevailed 4-1 on aggregate against their city rivals and thus secured their spot in the Coppa Italia final, where they will face Bologna. The game is scheduled for May 14th and later today, the ticket details should be announced by Serie A.
Today’s edition of Gazzetta dello Sport (see photo below) has already taken a look at the potential starting eleven for the game. Sergio Conceicao will continue with the 3-4-3 formation, that much is certain, but there could be some changes in terms of personnel.
At the back, Kyle Walker is currently recovering from his elbow injury and should soon be back in action. At Manchester City, he played as the right centre-back in a three-man backline so it’s not unrealistic to imagine a start in that final in that role, allowing Alex Jimenez to keep his spot.
Fikayo Tomori has also done well, though, so it’s something Conceicao will have to evaluate over the next three games. The league clash against Bologna three days before the final could be important in that sense
As for Matteo Gabbia’s neck injury, he won’t be available against Venezia tomorrow but there are no concerns about his future for the big final.
