As per VoetbalPrimeur, the highly-monitored Dean Huijsen also finds himself on Bayern Munich’s transfer wishlist. Max Eberl (technical director) and Christoph Freund (sporting director) are very positive about the Spanish international, but a transfer is only a possibility if a central defender is sold.
Huijsen can be picked up from AFC Bournemouth for an alleged 58 million euros – the highest of the minimum buyout fee in his contract. (Sky Sport).
Bayern arrive as yet another interested party, but could be blighted by speculation for Huijsen’s from Madrid. Last week, the Spanish defender with Dutch blood revealed that his friends have been trying to convince him to sign for Real Madrid. In an interview with El Chiringuito, the Bournemouth centre-back said:
“Madrid is a big club. But every player wants to play as much as possible. I still have a contract with Bournemouth until 2030, there is a clause in that.”
Huijsen has become an indispensable part of Bournemouth’s starting line-up and made his debut for the Spanish national team recently, against the Netherlands.
A top transfer seems inevitable next summer. If it were up to his friends, Huijsen would be headed to the Santiago Bernabeu. “They send me messages about Real’s interest and say I should go. But I also have a friend who says I should go to Barcelona. Ancelotti is a very good coach and is not at Real Madrid for nothing. Also, my idol from a young age is Sergio Ramos.”
