Jizz Hornkamp makes it four goals in four games as Heracles beat FC Twente | OneFootball

Heracles striker Jizz Hornkamp is in great form at the moment. The striker, who had only scored two goals by the end of February, has now scored four goals in his last four games. Hornkamp helped himself to a brace on Sunday afternoon to help the side remain in contention for a top eight finish. His two goals against FC Twente were enough for all three points with a 2-1 victory. With the sides top scorer, Luka Kulenovic, having returned from injury to come off the bench, Hornkamp will have certainly done himself plenty of favours with his recent form. Kulenovic had not featured since the defeat to AZ Alkmaar in the KNBV cup-semi final at the end of February.

The victory means that Erwin van de Looi’s men are just one point behind Groningen who occupy the final European play-off spot. Such is the gap between eight and seventh that it is unlikely anyone else will be able to force their way into the top eight apart from a handful of sides fighting for eighth. At the moment, Groningen are 12 points behind Go Ahead Eagles in seventh. Behind them, Fortuna Sittard are level on points, while Heracles, SC Heerenveen, NEC Nijmegen, NAC Breda and PEC Zwolle are all within three points.
