Wolverhampton Wanderers secured Matheus Cunha on a long-term deal during the winter transfer window, holding off interest from several clubs at the time. But despite that commitment, questions about his future haven’t gone away.
Cunha has become a key figure for Wolves, thriving in various attacking roles and consistently delivering. According to Fichajes, the Brazilian has stood out whether operating as an attacking midfielder, second striker, or center-forward—a level of versatility that’s reportedly drawn interest from Arsenal, Chelsea, and Paris Saint-Germain.
Wolves clearly value him, but there’s talk they could entertain offers over €70 million. Back in January, Sky Sports News reported that Nottingham Forest submitted a club-record bid of around £60 million.

GIVE ME SPORT’s Ben Jacobs reported on Tuesday that Cunha is sold on Manchester United’s long-term sporting project and is open to making the move even without Champions League football next season. Talks so far have been positive, with everything centered around the club’s vision for the future.
While personal terms haven’t been discussed yet, another key meeting is scheduled before the end of the month.
Manchester United are reportedly keen to move quickly, aware that both Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest have serious interest. Cunha wants to stay in the Premier League and knows United aren’t the only club pushing hard to sign him, per Jacobs.
The report also claims that manager Ruben Amorim sees Cunha as a natural No. 10, and Wolves believe the £62.5 million release clause reflects his market value. However, they may be open to a more flexible payment structure. United also view that figure—or something close—as reasonable for a player of his quality.
