The Argentine has made 32 top-flight appearances, scoring five goals and providing one assist in that time.

He has played 51 games across all competitions, notching 10 goals and nine assists. Garnacho’s performances have been a source of frustration for supporters for large parts of the campaign, with his decision-making in the final third especially coming into question.

Time and again, promising attacking moves have stalled at his feet, leaving United toothless in promising positions.

There is uncertainty over the 20-year-old’s future heading into the summer transfer window. It has been suggested United are open to cashing in on him amidst interest from the likes of Napoli, Chelsea, Juventus, Atletico Madrid and Bayer Leverkusen.

David Ornstein of The Athletic recently revealed that there is a high probability that Garnacho will be offloaded this summer.

Now, a startling statistic has surfaced, highlighting just how ineffective Garnacho has been this season in one crucial aspect of his game – dribbling.

According to statisticians WhoScored, the United winger has the worst dribble success rate in the Premier League this season.

Garnacho has a mere 29.3% dribble success rate.

Arsenal’s Gabriel Martinelli ranks second with 29.7%. Chelsea’s Pedro Neto (29.9%), Nottingham Forest’s Anthony Elanga (30.1%) and Everton’s Jack Harrison (31%) round up the top five.

This ranking only covers players who have attempted more than 60 dribbles this term.

It’s an area Garnacho will surely be eager to focus on and improve during training as part of his development. United are back in action on Sunday when they go away to the Vitality Stadium to face Bournemouth.
