Aston Villa clashed heads with Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium earlier tonight as they looked to secure a win on the road in the Premier League. The Villans made a slow start to the game as they conceded the opening goal in the seventh minute when Bernardo Silva found the back of the net. However, Unai Emery’s men equalised just 11 minutes later after Marcus Rashford scored from the penalty spot. The two sides went into the half-time break with a 1-1 scoreline.

The West Midlands club defended their penalty area well in the second half but conceded a goal in injury time when Matheus Nunes scored from close range. The match ended with Aston Villa suffering a tough 2-1 loss away from home.

He hardly put a foot wrong defensively and was a strong presence in the air.

CM: Boubacar Kamara – 6/10

Kamara struggled to get a foothold in the game and put in a disjointed display at the centre of the park.

He did his fair share of defending and made one promising run with the ball.

Rogers proved his worth at times but didn’t do enough to register a goal.
