Mason Greenwood given until end of season to win back Roberto De Zerbi’s trust | OneFootball

According to a report from La Provence, Mason Greenwood (23) has until the end of the season to win back the trust of Roberto De Zerbi or the former Manchester United player could be shown to the exit door.

Despite being Olympique de Marseille’s top scorer (with 15 goals) since moving to the south of France over the summer, the forward has come under criticism from his head coach for a lack of effort in recent weeks. In a press conference attended by Get French Football News, De Zerbi stated “I expect more from him. He has to do more, because what he is currently showing is not enough.”

After being dropped from the starting lineup for Marseille’s last two fixtures before the international break, defeats to RC Lens and Paris Saint-Germain, Greenwood returned to training early in an attempt to show his commitment to getting back into shape. It was an effort that was reportedly well-received by De Zerbi.
