It is always important at FC Barcelona for the club’s key players to be treated carefully. After all, these players are the pieces that allow the team to function at its best level. Unfortunately, however, the players are not always under the direct control of Barcelona.
At times, such as during the international break, the club has to let the respective National teams of players handle them as well as they can. Unfortunately, this can lead to players often getting untimely injuries that end up preventing them from participating in upcoming club games as well.
For Barcelona, such a case occurred just recently when Pau Cubarsi got injured while on international duty with Spain. While the initial updates provided by Spanish coach Luis de la Fuente were positive, there was still a concern at the club regarding the player’s progression from there onwards.
Tensions reportedly began to rise between Barcelona and the RFEF, as the Catalan giants wanted to see the player return to the club as soon as possible. This would allow the club to monitor his progress more carefully, and ensure that he got the proper rest and help.
Now, according to SPORT, Barça’s wish has come true. The player has officially left the Spanish National team camp early, and has returned to Barcelona for further evaluation so that the club can assess the severity of the issue and tend to the player themselves.
Moreover, with the player now being ruled out for the upcoming clash between Spain and the Netherlands, it gives him more time to recover properly as well. For now, Barcelona hope to see him get better in time for the game against CA Osasuna.
In other news, Inigo Martinez is also working to recover in time for that game. The Spanish veteran’s injury kept him away from joining his international side during this ongoing international break, but he hopes to be back in time for that crucial encounter.
