Netflix has officially announced the release date for its much-anticipated documentary on Real Madrid star Vinícius Jr., titled “Baila, Vini.”

The documentary is set to premiere on May 15 and promises an intimate look into the life and career of the Real Madrid superstar, who has had to endure a lot since coming to Spain.

The documentary follows Vinícius’s journey from humble beginnings in Sao Goncalo, Brazil, to the grand stage of the Santiago Bernabeu.

Netflix has already released a teaser across its social media platforms, which gives a glimpse of the player’s journey throughout his career.

The documentary also delves into the harsh realities the player has faced off the pitch — most notably, the racist abuse he suffered in several stadiums, including the widely condemned incident in Valencia.

The film features interviews with football icons and teammates including Neymar, Jude Bellingham, Toni Kroos, Roberto Carlos, and Karim Benzema — all sharing their perspectives on the Brazilian winger’s influence on and off the pitch.

The documentary aims to spotlight Vinícius’s powerful stance against racism while also celebrating his achievements as a footballer.

Vinicius also becomes the latest entrant on the list of players to have their lives documented by Netflix and other entertainment platforms.
