As per VoetbalPrimeur, Sontje Hansen is the next Oranje player who could make an international switch. The NEC Nijmegen and Jong Oranje winger has been attracting interest from the national team of Curaçao for months.

Hansen explained the current situation regarding the Dutch Caribbean island’s interest to Mee Met Oranje, saying, “They show a lot of interest from Curaçao, and many family members would also love it if I choose the country.”

The football association of Curaçao is not yet as active as, for example, the association of Indonesia, but some big players have already sworn allegiance to the island’s team – like Eloy Room, Joshua Brenet, Leandro Bacuna, Brandley Kuwas and Jürgen Locadia.

It is still far from certain that Hansen will choose Curaçao, as the 22-year-old winger reportedly targets an international career with the Dutch senior team.

“A debut with Oranje is, of course my dream, but I am not ready for that yet. I still have to develop a lot more before I can knock on Ronald Koeman’s door.”
