Paul Pogba has assured his fans that he remains "hungry" to play professional football again, still yet to find a new club since his Juventus contract was mutually terminated almost six months ago.

Pogba saw a doping ban reduced from four year to 18 months on appeal last October, but it didn't stop his Juventus reunion coming to a premature end a few weeks later.

The Frenchman was linked with former club Manchester United, as well as Marseille, which would have represented a first time playing professionally in his home country. But, having spent a lot of time in Miami in recent months, a move to Major League Soccer has been heavily suggested. The Saudi Pro League is also an obvious choice for Pogba, now 32.

"I mean, this is just a little message that I think shows someone who is still hungry for the comeback. I have been training by myself, but never giving up and always chasing my dream and what I want to achieve," the player told his followers on Instagram.

"Just a little message for all of you guys that right now, you don't get what you want, but just keeping trying, keep pushing until you get it. It might be tomorrow, it might be in one year, two years, but man what is going to happen, is going to happen so, let's go. Big up and I will see you very soon."

Due to a combination of injuries, suspension and his subsequent absence from the sport, Pogba has only made 12 appearances in almost three full seasons since leaving Old Trafford in 2022.

His last Manchester United appearance, prior to the end of his contract there, came more than a month before the end of the season due to a calf problem. A second Juventus debut, having made his name in Turin between 2012 and 2016, was later delayed for six months by a knee injury.

Pogba was then dropped by Juve boss Massimiliano Allegri over a disciplinary issue, after which his first start since returning to the club – in May 2023 – ended after only 23 minutes through injury.

Pogba's last appearance of any kind was as a substitute in Juve's Serie A win over Empoli in September 2023, while he hasn't added to his 91 France caps since March 2022.
