Paris Saint-Germain fell behind early to AS Saint-Etienne, with Lucas Stassin putting the visitors ahead in the ninth minute. However, PSG got a boost when Goncalo Ramos converted a penalty just before halftime to level the score.
In the second half, PSG took control, scoring five unanswered goals. Desire Doue netted a brace as the capital club cruised to a 6-1 victory.
On the first goal, just outside the box, Doue, set up perfectly by Bradley Barcola, fired a right-foot shot into the near post. That wasn’t the end for the youngster, though—he added a second-half brace, with his next goal coming just minutes later.
For his second, Doue stormed down the left, held off a defender, and then cut inside to fire a powerful shot past the keeper with his right foot.

While still 19, Doue is becoming a household name for football fans who don’t follow the Parisians closely. On Saturday, Stats du Foot highlighted an interesting stat: only Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal has outdone him.
Doue has been involved in 20 goals for PSG this season, with nine goals and 11 assists. Among players aged 19 or younger, only Yamal has had a better season, with 30 goal contributions (13 goals, 17 assists).
If PSG are going to advance past Aston Villa in the UEFA Champions League quarterfinal and USL Dunkerque in the Coupe de France, Doue will be tasked with playing a significant role as the capital club looks to lift trophies domestically and internationally.
