“What I’ve done is this: putting things back in order a little, giving the right importance to the important things. Trying to be a team, which is not an easy thing, right?”

“Because when there are very good players you could go a little off topic. Football is a team sport. It seems stupid to say it and remember it, but it’s the truth. A person can’t do anything alone. With the help of your teammates you can do good things. What I tried to do is bring back self-esteem.”

“Because when you try to win and you start losing or drawing, you can’t. Little by little you lose the confidence inside you. Here, I tried to bring back self-esteem, confidence, serenity, desire to do, desire to fight. Many small things that all together lead to the results that Roma is getting.”

“When you are in front of 20-25 players, as we football coaches are, you can’t pretend, because on the other side the players notice it immediately. So it’s better to be clear, loyal, consistent, which are all difficult things to do, because it’s a matter of saying it.”

“I believe and hope that it will be an exciting Serie A season until the end,” he replied when asked about Top 4.
